The cuteness was overflowing on Sunday at the Plains Art Museum with this way too cute family. We giggled and laughed through the whole session and I just had a really great time. I just love my job!

A Whole Lotta Cuties!

January 19, 2010

This family got together for the holidays this year and asked me to photograph their family all together. With 4 young kids, 6 adults and 2 dogs – that was quite a challenge but we had a fun time and got some great shots. I pulled a handful of images to show off for the family.

Thank you all for allowing me into your home to photograph your family!

Happy Holidays!

December 25, 2009

As Fargo is being blown under in a blizzard, I send out a little piece of warmth from my home to yours. As much as I love the look and feel of a great holiday card, I’m doing my part to do things a little greener and to do some digital sending instead.

We’ve had a good day. It didn’t start too early and we made it through all the gift opening in pretty good time. They enjoyed the tasks of opening gifts that were covered in packaging tape and one with using only their teeth. We spent the afternoon with my brother and his family and my mom. We didn’t let the snow keep us in too much! Hannah ended her day getting her first dose of winter driving. Thank you to my brother for letting her and to my mom for being so brave to ride along! We came home to a snow plowed in driveway which required us to do some shoveling before we could get up it and into the garage. Connor made a snow fort in the drift on the side of the house. Dillan fell asleep early – what a tuckered little guy. James, he wore shorts and a t-shirt all day.

I’m so thankful for all that I have and have been given. I’m so appreciative of all the joys in my life. I’m actually enjoying the 20ish inches of snow that we’re getting and love that the kids and dogs can actually get out and play in it for a change.

I hope everyone else had a wonderful day with friends and family and best wishes as we wind down the year and enter freshly into a new one!

Miss Grace

December 13, 2009

There is nothing more precious than a newborn baby. And Miss Grace is no exception. Born at just 28 weeks and 2 days, precious takes on a whole other meaning. But now at 36.5 weeks, she’s doing well! I photographed her two weeks ago as part of the Pictures of Hope Foundation.  I feel so blessed to have been there to photograph Grace’s first real bath and to document some of her daily routine with parents, Travis and Joni, who are so wonderful and totally in love with their precious baby girl. Here are a few images from our time together. I can’t wait to see this family again!

Extended Family

December 3, 2009

You may recognize these cutie boys from a previous session a few weeks ago. Now with mom and dad and the rest of  the family too! We gathered at the Plains Art Museum for this session and the boys were in heaven with the wide open spaces. One of these days I’m going to make a big post of the years out takes and there are a few from this session that just crack me up. What a fun trio!

Jeff, Jen, Nathan & Joe

November 13, 2009

It’s already been a year since I first photographed this family. Little Joe was still extra cozy in his mommy’s tummy and now he’s a year old! It was a chilly morning in Trollwood Park but it was sunny and there were fun leaves everywhere. What a couple of cuties these boys are!

Cole, Randi & Jossy

November 13, 2009

I met up with this family at the Plains Art Museum and had a fun time with super cute Miss Jossy who found her running legs and loved the wide open spaces! Later we ventured outside shots since the sun decided to cooperate for us, just in time.

Grandparents & Grandsons

October 27, 2009

These cute boys are my neighbors so it was an extra fun day to get out and play with them for a photoshoot with their grandparents. Despite the chilly temps we had that morning, Trollwood Park is still one of the prettiest places to be in the fall.

Winter seems to be coming a bit early and this family braved the very cold temps for their family session at and near their home. We had to do some jumping up and down and hand warming inbetween shots to get the job done but that made it a little extra fun! What good sports they are for sure!

I debated if I should show this last one but I just can’t resist, it makes me laugh out loud. We were nearing the end of the session and Alex was ready to just goof around and Madison was all business. I think she wanted Alex to be as well! Fun times!!

What a bunch of South Dakota cuties! Yes, they travelled all this way for me! [ok, and their family too!] We were so lucky to have the only 2 hours of sunshine for the whole day during our photoshoot at the Plains Art Museum. We ventured outside at the end of the session as well. I had so much fun with these little girls, looking through all of their images make me giggle. Here are just a few to oogle over!
