Go Team Tori!

April 10, 2010

You may remember when I photographed Miss Tori in December – she was the 2009 Arthritis Walk honoree and also won the gift certificate that I donated to the walk. How cool is that?! I had a great time photographing Tori – she’s such a sweet girl and very photogenic! I promised Tori at the end of her session that I’d help her team this year – so this is me helping.

On May 1st, the Arthritis Walk in Fargo/Moorhead takes place again – Starting at Courts Plus Fitness Center. Follow that link and you can read more about the walk as well sign up to participate in the walk, bike, or dog walk. You can also make a donation if you’re unable to participate.

But even better – to help me keep my promise to help Tori and her team CLICK HERE. Join Tori’s team and do some fund raising of your own or make a donation directly to her team!  I’d be so appreciative and so would Tori! I’ve also signed up Heidi Smith Photography as part of Tori’s team – if you CLICK HERE to make your donation, I will MATCH YOUR DONATION [up to $150] as a Heidi Smith Photography credit to be used towards your print order when you have a session with me in 2010! YEAH!!  [save your printed donation sheet for verification]

If you see me there – say hi! I’ll be there with my daughter Hannah and my camera in hand!

Go Tori!

Miss Grace

December 13, 2009

There is nothing more precious than a newborn baby. And Miss Grace is no exception. Born at just 28 weeks and 2 days, precious takes on a whole other meaning. But now at 36.5 weeks, she’s doing well! I photographed her two weeks ago as part of the Pictures of Hope Foundation.  I feel so blessed to have been there to photograph Grace’s first real bath and to document some of her daily routine with parents, Travis and Joni, who are so wonderful and totally in love with their precious baby girl. Here are a few images from our time together. I can’t wait to see this family again!

Support PPA Charities

February 11, 2009

Last month at our regional PPA [Professional Photographers of America] meeting we were encouraged to take part in supporting PPA Charities and being a small part in a bigger cause.  The PPA contributes to Operation Smile and other children’s charities.  I’m always looking for the little ways that I can give back and make a difference. And this is exactly what I’d love to be doing. There are several ways to participate and contribute but I’m going to start out with something I can do right now and move into something bigger later in the year.

For every session I do this year, I will be donating $5 to PPA Charities. For the month of  October, Family Portrait Month, I will be donating $25 of ever session!!

How can you help? It’s easy.

  • You can book a session and have my donation be your donation.
  • You can match my donation for your session.
  • You can make a donation directly to the PPA Charities website. [click the DONATE tab]

Remember, you can make a donation to PPA Charities at any time for any reason…out of the kindness of your heart or in honor or memory of a friend, colleague, or family member. I will be making my donations monthy and look forward to giving a full report at the end of the year! I’ll be posting more about Family Portrait Month in the future.
