I first photographed this family last month on their adoption finalization day but due to gloomy, chilly weather, our session was cut short and I promised them another date when we could get outside and get some great shots. The weather toyed with us again on Wednesday but we were able to bend around some stormy skies and rain sprinkles and have a fun time in Island Park. These girls are just so cute!
I swear the days are just flying by. It’s the last weekend in June, there are just 4 more days left including today. I just can’t believe it!
Summer is in full swing here – our backyard pool is set up and being put to good use, we’re getting out and having some fun, and sessions are booking up! I hope everyone is enjoying their summer as well!

Summer seems to have retreated here in Fargo. It’s been a cool and rainy weekend around here while in the western areas of the state actually got some snow. In JUNE! That’s just crazy! Definitely not a fun start to summer vacation.
But now we’re back to Monday – it’s still dreary and rainy, but there is work to be done. And I’ve been at it. I wanted to update about a few things.
EMAIL ME!! I made a great little tweak to the blog where you can now EMAIL ME directly from the blog. Take a little peek up towards the top where I’ve also added a light green strip behind the menu links. You’ll see EMAIL. Click it, a form appears, and you can shoot me a quick email if you need or want to!
Up there you’ll also see that there is a WEBSITE page. That used to say ‘blogroll’ and I’m not sure why. The link under it is the same, it takes you directly to the Heidi Smith Photography website. Cool!

OUT OF OFFICE: I will be out of office June 18-22. I’m flying to Indiana to photograph my first wedding alongside my friend Heather. I’m not a wedding photographer so this is all new and exciting to me. I don’t expect to be a wedding photographer after this either but I am excited to do some great work for her. And I get to visit and spend time with her family and hopefully go where summer really is, since it certainly isn’t here! I will be returning voice mails and emails when I return.

I’d like to start posting those questions and their answers and hopefully benefit more people at one time. Well, back to editing images for me – the cruddy weather at least makes it easy to not feel like doing much else. There is no sun and warm air to tempt me away to play instead of work. Happy Monday!

I didn’t get any pictures taken of the draw this round and can’t seem to round up my handy helpers who are all too excited to be free of school for the summer! I wonder if I’ll need to fire them.
