Dillan opted for a fauxhawk instead of a trim at the salon today. I was the only one leaving with a few shorter hairs. But I must say, he definitely left cuter!
March 15 – I’m closing comments to this entry because for some reason it’s getting a lot of spam comments Sometimes the net just stinks. :(

I have to pay up tomorrow so I was busy getting everything calculated today. Fun times!

I found new goodies while browsing around Target today! A little cozy to beat this horrible cold weather.

It’s been one of those days. I had an exhausting weekend and the weather has us all a bit stir crazy. There’s too much energy in this house – it was making me feel a bit nuts. And then the kids ate them!

This has been an exhausting weekend for all of us. So many things going on and too many late nights and not enough sleep in general. Before heading out of the house, I pulled all the kids together for a quickie group shot. It’s rare this time of year to have all 3 at home at the same time during daylight hours. I took advantage of the day and sat they all together and Ruby joined in too! It’s a bit obvious that nobody was quite into it. I love them all!

We spent an AMAZING day with my photo friend from Grand Forks, Christy Doyea. She invited us and 10 other photographers out for the day to shoot around here studio and share all things photography! She was so great! I really enjoyed meeting everyone and getting to learn about studio photography. Thank you so much to all the wonderful ladies that were there!
This was a shot set up to be dramatic lighting. It was a setup none of us had used before. I’m not sure this image pulled it off so well but I’m pleased to have something neat of my daughter anyway. I’m sure I’ll have plenty more to share from this day!

Ruby and I laid down together for a nap today. It’s not always easy to take a self-portrait, especially while sleepy, but I think we did a fine job. And we’re so cozy too!

Today I went on a photography props run for my friend Amanda. I rounded up a bunch of big lollies for her!

After helping Dillan out of the tub and toweling off his hair, he looked in the mirror and let out the silliest laugh! I had him take a moment to pose for the camera and then we giggled some more!

Connor is the best at Memory. He beats everyone. He has a photogenic memory. It’s always good fun playing games, even if we do lose.

It was grocery shopping day. I love my reusable bags. I’ve had them for a few months now and I can’t imagine why I didn’t get them sooner. They’re just the best. And thank goodness for a lack of the plastic ones around here these days!
And it’s James’ birthday. If he were here I’d have taken his picture for today. But he’s out driving around in Florida.

I took some time to do a little sewing today. Nothing special, just working on some ideas with my sister. I didn’t have the best luck but it was fun anyway and relaxing too.

I started the bathwater and then left the room. When I came back, this is what I found. My youngest 2 kittens love to hang out on the edge of the tub and drink the water. It’s really odd that ALL of my pets would be in one room all at the same time, but especially the bathroom. I had to kick them all out so I could hop in!

A quiet night all to myself certainly deserves a yummy snack. Though what I thought would be all mine turned into an attack missiong by the 5 furry creatures in this house. Each one of them jumped into my lap or whined or both. Bummer for them, I don’t share. I’m sure they’ll forgive me and join me for some middle of the night cozying anyway!

Today we bought Ruby a new tug toy since she pretty much destroyed her other one. This one is so much more fun!

My mom just returned from Jamaica and brought me this candle. Perfectly fitting, today I am in search of serenity.

Dillan woke up this morning and the only thing he wanted to do was play Legos. Off and on all day he played. His creativity amazes me. I had to force him to go to bed an hour after bedtime because he was looking like he was going to fall asleep in the Lego bucket. He had been playing the entire day. And he had a blast. And I enjoyed playing with him.

Hannah and I had a heck of a time with this puzzle. It was colorful and overlapping and the pieces fit together with more pieces than where they belonged. It took about 4 hours over 2 days to complete it and we sure were glad to be done with it!

I love my Hazel cat. She’s just so pretty. Her eyes are a gorgeous green and teal color. I always try to capture those eyes but she has this thing about turning away from me.

My yummy afternoon snack. Chips make excellent scoops for raspberry sherbet!

I was in the middle of folding the laundry when I took an email break and turned around to find my Jelliebeanie atop the laundry – as if it was hers to guard.

Today, Connor read a small book all on his own, for the very first time! I’m so proud of my boy!

It’s a beautiful, frosty morning here in Fargo.

My son cannot get enough of the Clementine oranges. Even after he had brushed his teeth for bed, he just had to have one more!

Today I babysat for my nephew. He loved on my kitten, Millie.

Thomas was lounging on the armrest of the couch. I’m a big fan of kitty and puppy toes. He left these in a perfectly capturing place, I couldn’t help myself.

What I brought home from dinner. Both to practice, one to live by.

I love watching the kids play from a distance. They carry on a dialogue all on their own and create a story to act out. I enjoy seeing how one thing leads to another and to hear the whole process. I captured Dillan playing by the window today, wrapping his jet in the blinds cord, because ‘he was trapped.’

She’s rarely been outside, even when it was warm – she was just too small. And she’s still so small. But today she managed to get herself out the patio door when I was letting Ruby out and I think she got herself a great big shock. The sun was out and it was warmer, but not above freezing warmer. She sat on this step, all puffed up for a bit, and thankfully long enough for me to ge this snap. She’s so adorable!

The past few days have been so cold. But with the moisture in the house, the windows develop pretty ice crystals.
