Dillan went along for the ride with James today when he had to move the semi from getting repaired back to his shop. The boy looks like a real tiny guy next to this big truck. He had a fun time though!

I think this sight means it’s official - spring is arriving in Fargo - FINALLY. It really has been a long winter for me. The snow is almost completely gone from our yard. It’s a sloppy mess, that’s for sure, but at least the white stuff is about gone for good. I even saw some sparrows return to the tree in our front yard today. It really made me happy. C’mon spring!

After having a a great dinner at The Spitfire Grill, we ran some errands and I decided to take my camera out. With some altering of the camera settings, a slightly bumpy road [what road isn't in Fargo?] and a windy night – this is what I got. I sat the camera on the dashboard and the long shutter time made a great design from the tail lights and street lights.

Today Dillan and I played a few rounds of dominos today. He likes to play by his own rules. Sometimes I let him change a few and we play his way. He gets to excited when he gets the double blank piece. Fun

All week long I have been wanting a caesar salad. I’ve REALLY wanted fried chicken but decided to go with the salad instead. Tonight the kids and I finally got around to making them. The boys had regular Ranch dressing though. There is something about that fresh grated parmasean cheese that makes the salad that much more wonderful!

Hannah has play practice every day after school. It’s Ruby’s job to escort the kids to and from school and their activities. She really looks forward to seeing them when we pick them up. Her little tail nub wags and her ears go sideways and she does a happy Corgi dance. She turned to look at me with those big waiting eyes and I couldn’t resist. Only a few minutes later, Hannah was done and Ruby was happy again.

There is so much of this stuff around here. We have to try extra hard to keep it away from the cats who just want to eat it. It might look yummy, but not THAT yummy! I took several pictures, adjusting my focus and depth of field with each one. Each time I got a different effect and some that I LOVE probably look like a big mess to others. So I went with this one, just a small amount in focus but still showing the light reflections.

There is something so fun about the arrival of prints. I love my images on the computer but there is something extra special about seeing that tangible product – all those colors in all their glory. This only shows a few of the 40 wallets I had printed. I love them all!

Millie really knows how to make Lazy Sunday work for her!

This is what it looks like when the girls get together to do some major working. At one point, the table looked much worse – pop cans and pizza plates around. It was a good time!

We got a heck of a lot of snow today and Ruby was not quite so impressed this morning.

The kids dyed eggs tonight. The colors came out quite vibrant. However, I didn’t photograph them the way or as well as I had wanted. It was a long day of router issues and hours on the phone and online with tech support. I suppose by late evening I just wasn’t in photography mode anymore. Happy Spring Everyone!!

Today Ruby finally figured out how to play fetch. She’s never really had an interest in the ball – in fact it still looks brand new and we got it when she was just a couple months old. She ran up and down the hallway at least 30 times throughout the day. So fun!

These beauties opened up so quickly. Hannah brough tthem home from school yesterday and they were all closed up. This morning they were slightly open and by afternoon they were glorious. They are to give to her friends. The little signs of spring are so refreshing.

We’re being addicted to Webkinz. We all enjoy playing. The kids each have two of their very own. And today, their addicted mother got two of her own. Thank you Limited Too for having a BOGO sale!

Today I photographed my first maternity session. This little cutie is very close to being the big sister of TWINS! The babies are due in the next couple of weeks. I promised mom to not show any belly pics until she looks them over so look for those on the HSP blog in the next few days. And before long – newborns!!

Today we celebrated my niece’s 8th birthday by having a party with her friends at their house. It is also her mama’s birthday today too! I chose this photo among man others because of the color vibrance.

Trying to plan and stay organized - it’s not always so easy. The best laid plans sometimes fall through too. Including this picture – it wasn’t what I had originally shot today. But my planner was sitting next to me just now and reminded me that I need to plan this project, and other things, a little better sometimes.

Today I opened up the window for a little while so I could listen to the boys playing outside. The kittens were all over that idea and jumped right up and sat there for a long time. They looked around and smelled around, even when their feet got chilly. I love their curled up tails. Surprisingly, they are littermates. They don’t look it in size but they’re patterning and eyes are identical. I love my babies!

Yesterday Millie was spayed and declawed. Today she came home. And she’s quite mad that she has to stay in the bedroom all by herself for a few days. Hannah went in to do her homework and give Millie some attention. Just so sweet!

With the temperatures almost to 40*F today, we got outside for a much needed reprieve! It was so great to get out without being bundled from head to toe and fearing that just by breathing we would freeze solid. Dillan celebrated our fun outside time by throwing snowballs onto the roof.

You know that it’s time for winter to be over and Heidi to be inspired when so many photographs are of pets these days. But how can I not photograph the heck out of Miss Ruby. She certainly knows how to chillax!

I took this about 6:15 tonight. The sun was still quite high in the sky compared to how it has been the past few weeks. Even at 8pm there was still a little glow from the not yet all the way descended sun into the horizon. A sign of hope. A sign that winter is nearly over. The days are getting longer and soon they’ll get warmer.

Today was a very lazy day. I got up early [thankyounotsoverymuch faulty internal clock] and enjoyed 3 hours of quiet all to myself. [minus a brood of furry animals!] I was quite ambitious and got some work done and then by mid morning I headed to the bedroom to get away from the distracting TV. I was joined by each of the 5 pets off and on through the whole day. I think Ruby loves to cozy the most and loves me the best. The light was perfect this afternoon.

This is what I see many times when I look across the table. Fat Hazel just likes to see what we’re all doing at the table. he doesn’t like to eat most food we eat. She just likes to smell it, she rarely will even take a taste when offered to her. I love how her gorgeous eyes peer just over the edge. I love her.
Today I helped Hannah’s science class with their frog dissections. Having a little fun, Hannah snapped a picture of me sweet talking a frog.

We haven’t had any icicles on the house all winter. Maybe this is a sign of spring?

It was one of those days. I’ve had worse migraines but this one wasn’t much fun at all. Finally, I think it’s passing, but it’s been an all day effort.

Most of the time I roam around barefooted. But in the winter, it’s cold, and my feet look dry and scary. But mostly they’re cold. And the best thing to remedy that [besides a really fat cat] are really cozy socks!

My bike is longing for spring. [so am I] I hadn’t even thought about taking a picture like this today but the theme ‘bikes’ was posted on a message board and I went with it. Now I’m really anxious for warm weather. Though today’s wind and snow makes me want to hibernate a bi longer.
