Day 182 – Casey Loves Water

Ξ June 30th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Project 365 in 2008 |

This dog of mine, I love him so much. He’s just a crazy and always makes me laugh. He loves the water – well both of my Corgis do but he really goes all out. He jumps so high for that spray and ends up falling down. Dillan wasn’t being mean to him, he was just filling up the pool when Casey headbutted right in to play in the stream. So funny!

Day 181 – Chicken Noodle Salad

Ξ June 29th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Project 365 in 2008 |

Yummy!! It was hot and I was tired and didn’t feel like putting in a lot of effort for dinner – especially after just coming home from the gym. So I whipped up a noodle salad and tossed some chicken onto the grill and then mixed it all together. I put it back into the fridge to get cold and ate it up. It was delicious!

Day 180 – Siblings

Ξ June 28th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Project 365 in 2008 |

I try not to include session images into my daily pictures but I loved this one too much to let it go. The little twins really look not so much alike these days and little Josh is catching up in size to Nick. Big sister Alexa just helps out with them so much. They’re all so gorgeous together.

Day 179 – Freshly Wet

Ξ June 27th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Project 365 in 2008 |

Last night the storm came through and the rain came down so hard. I woke up to find my peonys laying on the ground. I took my camera out to get some fresh waterdrops on the pretty pink petals.

Day 178- Balloon Hat

Ξ June 26th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Project 365 in 2008 |

Dillan gets a balloon hat from the clown at the Bethany Homes fundraiser carnival. The white balloon that she’s tying on has an eyeball on the top of it. She added one to both blue antennae. Dillan thought he was pretty darn cool!

Day 177 – Working Hard

Ξ June 25th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Project 365 in 2008 |

The swingset was falling apart when we moved in. Two years later and plenty of use by a dozen kids, it’s beyond help. The 2 swings still worked just fine but the rest of the parts were broken and too small for my kids. We deiced that if we were buying a trampoline, we would take down the swingset and have one less item in the yard. We got the trampoline a few weeks ago but the swingset didn’t come down until today. The boys and I worked hard and got it all taken apart and hauled out of here. I love watching them do things like this, they’re such good workers!

Day 176 – Casey Stares Outside

Ξ June 24th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Project 365 in 2008 |

Oh my boy. He just makes me smile so much.  I love when he lays on his belly. His chin was between his front paws until I grabbed the camera. That was extra cute! His short little legs and big feet are so adorable. His ears – wow they are really big! He’s such a great Corgi boy! And he makes me giggle.

Day 175 – The Pool is Cold

Ξ June 23rd, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Project 365 in 2008 |

Dillan was very excited to come home today to swim in the pool. Though once he got in he wasn’t quite as excited about how warm the pool was not. It’s just still too chilly at night to really maintain the pool. It gets plenty warm during the day but it cools off so much at night. I don’t think that the kids mind most of the time. They aren’t as sensitive to the cold as I am.

Day 174 – Casey Bobs For Ice

Ξ June 22nd, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Project 365 in 2008 |

Oh this dog of mine! He just makes me laugh. Just for fun I put some ice into the water dish outside and Casey Bob went bobbing! He just had so much fun, nose under, bubbles blowing and all!

Day 173 – Stuffed Crust Pizza

Ξ June 21st, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Project 365 in 2008 |

This has to be my most favorite pizza ever. Pizza Hut’s stuffed crust extra cheese pizza. Nothing else quite drowns the sorrows like s a whole lotta cheese! And I didn’t even have to share it with anyone.

Day 172 – A Visitor

Ξ June 20th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Project 365 in 2008 |

Look at this beauty! I was out cleaning the dog mess out of th yard this morning [as you can see it needs a serious cutting. Being gone for almost a week and getting a lot of rain sure makes it grow like a jungle!] when I came across this little miss. She stayed right there, even when I got up close. I wasn’t sure if she was injured or not so I just let her be and admired from a safe distance. Before long she flew away. I think she was just tring to get  warm for the day.

Day 171 – A New Basket

Ξ June 19th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Project 365 in 2008 |

The basket on the left, I have had for awhile. I use it for photographing babies and puppies and kitties. It’s quite large and can handle a small toddler too. But today, I bought the basket on the right. It has the same woven pattern but is a different build and a nice deep color too. I haven’t taken it for a test drive yet but I love the look and feel of it.

Day 170 – Wide Angle Maple

Ξ June 18th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Project 365 in 2008 |

I had borrowed an ultra wide angle lens from my brother in-law but it didn’t arrive before I left for Texas so I had to hurry and play with it when I got back. I didn’t have time to get outside of town to see what it could do so I played with some fun effects in my own yard. I’ve never been able to capture my favorite maple baby like this before. I just love this tree, it really makes my yard so cozy. Though I see she can use a little trimming up there on top!

Day 169 – Ferris Wheel

Ξ June 17th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Project 365 in 2008 |

The Red River valley Fair is in town! My kids love this time of year! I took the boys, along with my brother and his family, for a fun filled afternoon. It was hot, and sunny, and fun! The smell of yummy fair food filled my nose and my head and put me in a dream state. I can never have too many cheesecurds! I loved the colors of this ferris wheel against the blue sky, I had to capture it.

Day 168 – Friends

Ξ June 16th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Project 365 in 2008 |

You would think that a trio of photographers could pull off one good photo of themselves. We failed. All weekend long there were 10 more photographers around and not once did we ask one of them to snap for us. Instead, we butchered the image by cutting off faces, getting out of focus eyes and ostrich necks. Oh well, this is us – Laurie, Heidi, and Heather. We had an amazing time!

Day 167 – Texas Longhorn

Ξ June 15th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Project 365 in 2008 |

Look at this handsome fella! It’s just not Texas without a Longhorn. [especially since we were staying across the street from A&M] I didn’t want to get too close to this fella, those look like some pretty tricky weapons he has there! We were careful though, and I got some neat shots.

Day 166 – Night Photography

Ξ June 14th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Project 365 in 2008 |

I’m learning so many amazing things here in Texas! Tonight we did some silhouette photography as well as some lighting to get this shot. Pretty cool, huh? We’re having a blast and I can’t even describe what an excellent workshop this is!

Day 165 – In Texas

Ξ June 13th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Project 365 in 2008 |

It’s HOT in Texas! 95* isn’t funny when leaving 60s and rain behind! But I embraced the big blue skies and sunshine. We had to travel along some windy roads to get to the studio for the workshop. We weren’t sure we were going the right way but once we saw this sign, we knew we had. Let the excitement and learning begin!

Day 164 – Above Denver

Ξ June 12th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Project 365 in 2008 |

Very early this morning I left Fargo destined for Austin, Texas to attend a photography workshop. It was still a bit dark and dreary when I left so I didn’t get a good airplane shot until leaving Denver where I also met up with my friend Laurie and we traveled together to Austin where we met up with our friend Heather too!

Day 163 – My Babies

Ξ June 11th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Project 365 in 2008 |

Today was the last day that my 3 kiddos were together until the end of July. Hannah left to spend some time with her dad just like she does every summer.I’m pretty sure nobody wanted their picture taken today but as the mom, I had to document. I miss her already.

Day 162 – Thomas Loves Water

Ξ June 10th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Project 365 in 2008 |

And not only does my cute Thomas cat love the box, he also loves the water. I have never had a cat that even remotely enjoys being wet. Thomas will get in the sink and the shower and plays in the water dishes until there is water all over the floor. Here you can see that the water has run over his head and he continues to play in the stream. What a whacko!

Day 161 – Thomas in a Box

Ξ June 9th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Project 365 in 2008 |

This cat loves boxes. But he REALLY loves this box. He sleeps in it a fair part of every day. It can’t be all that comfortable but he won’t abandon it. None of the other cats have gotten in it either. He’s cute.

Day 160 – Hannah’s Gang

Ξ June 8th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Project 365 in 2008 |

Hannah’s about to leave for the summer so we had a little afternoon party at our house so she could spend some time with her bunch of friends. They had a great time. I had fun having them here too. They’re all such good kids. And thank goodness for the trampoline!

Day 159 – Hannah Playing with Bubbles

Ξ June 7th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Project 365 in 2008 |

Hannah and I were almost settled for the evening when my mom called us to come over. Connor was staying the night with her and he was out blowing bubbles in the yard and the sun was setting. She said it was gorgeous. And it was. I took a lot of pictures of both Connor and Hannah but really loved this one of Hannah the most.

Day 158 – Babysitting Justin

Ξ June 6th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Project 365 in 2008 |

Justin playing with some cars and trucks in the living room. He has such amazing conversation skills for a two year old. I just love hanging out with him.

Day 157 – My Crazy Kiddos

Ξ June 5th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Project 365 in 2008 |

The trampoline has been so much fun! It’s hard to get the kids and the neighborhood kids off of it when I need them to be off. They just keep saying, “just one more…” – you can fill in the blank with every excuse imaginable.  It sure is fun to watch though – they have so much fun. Being the great mom that I am, I had them all line up and jump. Hannah had bad timing but I just love this image!

Day 156 – Trampoline!!

Ξ June 4th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Project 365 in 2008 |

It doesn’t get much better than this! The kids have been asking for a trampoline for a long time. I’ve been putting it off for a long time!  But today we caved and put in a funky lawn decoration and let the kids bounce until after 10pm. They are thrilled! And I’m surprised at their skill and lack of inhibitions. They do flips and twists and all kinds of crazy moves.

Day 155 – Haircut

Ξ June 3rd, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Project 365 in 2008 |

Can you believe I buzzed this boy all on my own? He said he wanted a haircut ‘just like James’. I’m not sure if that’s a compliment or not! But both my boys now look pretty slick! Dillan hates haircuts so I was a bit surprised when he let me do it in the first place. I did a good job.

Day 154 – Rainy Day

Ξ June 2nd, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Project 365 in 2008 |

James and I drove out to Barnesville and then did some errands. coming back into town it started raining quite nicely. I took this shot through teh windshield of the truck, focusing on the raindrops to define them but to blur out the road ahead. I just love how it turned out.

Day 15

Ξ June 1st, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Project 365 in 2008 |

Happy 2 year Housiversary! We’re going into our 3rd year of being in our cozy home. It hardly seems that long! And we’ve loved every minute of it. When we first started looking for a new house we knew that we wanted a large fenced yard and enough bedrooms to give us all some space. And we found it here. Now if someone will just come and paint for me, please.
