This blog has been so neglected. It makes me sad every time I look at it and realize I haven’t posted pictures in a couple months. Life just got busy and the task got more and more daunting. This isn’t an easy project to keep up with sometimes. But assuredly, I have taken pictures most every day – and the days I didn’t, I made up for them on other days. And I have them backlogged and am getting them ready to upload. My goal is to try to get 3 images up per day until I am all caught up. That’s a doable number I think. And then I hope that once I’m caught up, I stay on top of it again. I really have missed sharing my images and my life. So over the next couple of weeks the images will be uploaded and backdated, oldest images first to keep the order going. Please comment as you look if you’d like. And once I’m all caught up, this entry will disappear. Thank you to those who keep looking for new images so frequently. I’m glad my photos are of interest. I hope you like what I’ve got to add as well!

Pinwheels for Peace – Representing the 644 children helped by the Rape & Abuse Crisis Center in 2008.
These were set up in Island Park. Hannah and I headed out even though it was raining to photograph the wheels and to talk about what they mean.

Shedding season has begun. With 4 cats and 2 dogs, the house is becoming a hairy place. This pile is just from the 2 dogs. We’re well on our way to creating that 3rd Corgi. I don’t know what I’ll do when the shedding is in full high gear. I think we might get a 4th Corgi this year.

Yes, I said hurtles. That’s what Hannah inadvertently posted to her Facebook. And I thought it was perfect since I always felt like hurdles were painful! But Hannah’s doing great! She’s not the fastest and her form needs some work but I’m so proud of her for trying something that really made her so nervous. She’s one determined kiddo!

Never mind that Easter has come and gone, today we dyed our eggs. All the kids love a bright, vibrant egg so they soak for quite awhile and we have many solid colored eggs. But then we get down to the last few eggs and the creativity kicks in and eggs start taking a bath in every color. And this one, I just loved how it turned out.

This is classic Connor face. It makes me laugh because it’s a bit between confused and happy and awkward. But his eyes shine through more than anything else – those hazely sparklers with long lashes and a whole story to tell behind them.

Our bakery at our local store started making the most amazing looking pastries. We gawk and drool every time we walk by. For so long we resisted the tempation [and big price tags] and kept on going. Until today. Sadly, the taste wasn’t as yummy as it looks but still quite tastey!

Ball? Where’s your ball? That’s all we have to say to send Casey into a tizzy! He will play fetch until his tongue is literally dragging on the ground and his shorty legs can’t carry him any longer.

I love a good sky! That’s no secret for sure. Though we don’t see these kinds of skies when it’s cold outside! I long for the big puffy clouds of summer. For now, this will do. It warms me up inside.

[weird, this one has some pixeling issues when resized and uploaded.] But you get the idea. The trees are budding!! Just when it seems like spring will never arrive in our neck of the woods, the sky turns bright blue and my gorgeous maple shows me these little gems. I love it!
