I love photography, it's as simple as that. I love taking pictures every day. Sometimes just snapshots to remember something fun and sometimes to test my skills and push my own boundaries. Regardless of the reason, I love making beautiful images and sharing them.

This is my project 365 for this year. A photo a day for the whole year. I didn't quite finish last year, or the year before, but maybe this will be my year. Above you'll find some of my favorite image from the project last year.

I'm a busy mom with a growing business. While I will be taking pictures every day, it may take me a couple days to get things loaded up.

Enjoy!

Day 110 – Paint

April 20th, 2009

I need to paint the office. I need to make it a pretty place to be. I need to be MY space. I’m really bad with choosing colors – I don’t want it to be too bright or vibrant – I can’t get bored of it too fast and no casting colors on my monitor. I don’t want it to be too pale so that I have to strain to enjoy the color. A friend said to go with a color that reminds me of the ocean since it’s my serenity space. That was the best suggestion and what I went with. My pics are with ‘bluebelle’, ’serenity’, and ‘windmill wings’. ‘Serenity’ would be an obvious choice for mood but I’m not sure. I don’t know if those choices would be too pale, though the choices one step to the left would be too bold. I’m still undecided but hope to choose soon and get to painting!

Day 109 – Guinea Pig

April 19th, 2009

Is this not the cutest Webkinz ever? Dillan wanted to spend some of his money from Papa Joe for his birthday so while at the mall we stopped to look at Webkinz. None of us had seen the guinea pig before and we all fell in love with it immediately. Dillan snatched him up in no time!

Day 108 – Kittens

April 18th, 2009

I still call them ‘The Kittens’ even though they are now almost 2 years old. Millie still looks like a kitten, she just didn’t grow. Thomas was initially thought to be a larger than average cat though he is probably pretty average sized. He just looks so big compared to Millie. Weighing in at barely 5 pounds, she’s still very delicate and kitten like. It’s hard to believe these two are siblings. I get asked for their size comparisons from time to time and I thought this image showed it pretty well. She’s just a tiny, and that’s what we call her.

Day 107 – BINGO!

April 17th, 2009

Bingo night at the elementary school is fast becoming our favorite school activity. We all love it and have a blast. It’s great seeing friends there and playing as one large group. The kids each won a prize though the disappointment of losing the final blackout BIG prize was almost too much for the boys. We’ll have to try again next time.

Day 106 – Ladybug

April 16th, 2009

Dillan and I were sitting out in the front yard just hanging out and watching the cars go by. I looked down and found 3 ladybugs! Dillan did have them all in his hand at once but those little critters woke up out hibernation and were busy little bugs on a mission. They had no intentions of doing anything slowly or for just hanging out. In fact, I couldn’t get a picture in focus because they just moved too fast. This is the only one, out of 20 or so.

Day 105 – Throwback

April 15th, 2009

Pepsi Throwback – made with natural sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup [HFCS]. I hadn’t heard this was coming but came across it yesterday and picked up a couple bottles for myself. I’m not a big pop drinker anymore but I occasionally love a good Pepsi! And really, I love this more than the HFCS version.  It’s still sweet and tastes like Pepsi, only it doesn’t have such a sickening sweet syrupy feeling. And I love not taking in that HFCS to begin with! I’m not sure I agree with the ‘Throwback’ name – this is how it should be.

Day 105 – Stacked Yummies

April 14th, 2009

One of my very favorite yummy treats comes in pretty colors for Easter. Yes, I ate them after they were very good models for my shot.

Day 103 – Penquin Art

April 13th, 2009

Look at what my Connor made! He had told me about this penguin a few weeks ago when his class went to the Creative Arts Studio. Never did I imagine something as adorable as this! I’m so pleased with his creation, it makes me beam inside and out. I have such talented kids!

Day 102 – Window Art

April 12th, 2009

Crayola Window Markers have been a big hit here! The Easter Bunny brought them for my kids and the windows of my house will always be covered in art I’m sure. Hannah is my talented artist. Here she is doodling, trying out all the colors.

Day 102 – Ceaser

April 11th, 2009

I saw this recipe on Rachael Ray the other day and had to try it. I altered it just a bit but it was DE-LIC-IOUS! I had to alter is just a bit, I don’t do anchovies and I added some ceaser salad dressing for a little extra flavor and used premade croutons. I could eat this everyday!
