Shedding season has begun. With 4 cats and 2 dogs, the house is becoming a hairy place. This pile is just from the 2 dogs. We’re well on our way to creating that 3rd Corgi. I don’t know what I’ll do when the shedding is in full high gear. I think we might get a 4th Corgi this year.

Ball? Where’s your ball? That’s all we have to say to send Casey into a tizzy! He will play fetch until his tongue is literally dragging on the ground and his shorty legs can’t carry him any longer.

Ball? Mall? Fall? Stall? They all rhyme and they will all send Casey into a tizzy because all he hears is BALL! We have to hide the balls so he doesn’t beg to play all day and all night. And the second anyone says anything that sounds like BALL, he gets all worked up all over again. But look how cute he is!

This day was the first day so far this year that I didn’t take a picture. I was feeling a bit moody and out of sorts and just didn’t pick up the camera. So this picture of Casey is actually from the next morning. The blizzard is coming, we woke up to the snow starting to fall already. this boy sure loves the snow! He chomps at flakes and runs around the yard like a maniac. Out and in, out and in, out and in all day!

I had Hannah snap this picture for me, just 10 minutes after I had crawled in bed. Nevermind that it was 1:30am – look at The Zoo!! They come in, one by one. Ruby is always first. She heads right for James’ pillow even if he is here. Followed by Casey who seems to need to be a bedhog. Fatty is usually next, climbing over me and laying on or near an arm. Then comes Millie, she has to lay in a divot – behind my knee or my bent elbow. It’s a good thing she’s light! Thomas, he sometimes is here and he’s sometimes not. Tonight he was but he hovered near the edge of the bed. Missing is Jelliebeanie, she rarely sleeps on the bed. She can’t be bothered by these other critters. The funny thing is – when I woke up – Thomas wasn’t on the bed anymore but Jellie was in his place. The best part – my bed always looks like this. How do we fit James in there? Believe it or not, we do. We have no room to move at night but we are warm and cozy! We’ve joked about getting another large bed to shove in the corner and hope The Zoo would sleep there. I love these babies!

This is the life of Corgi. A lazy afternoon after playing hard – a nap is always the best way to wind down. Corgi’s do it best, they sleep on their backs. And I love them extra for how cute they look.

Our baby boy turns one year old today! We all think it’s odd that he’s only one year old. It sure feels like he’s been a part of our family much longer than that. he’s such a joy in our family – he makes us laugh every day. He wasn’t overly pleased with the idea of the party hat. Though I think he looks cuter than heck!

We’re having a little bit of a warm up this weekend. Granted we still aren’t even above freezing but at least we are above 0* and the sun is shining brightly. Still too cold for me, I photographed Casey enjoying his stick on the deck through the patio door. Look at this handsome boy having a good time! He loves the snow, but he loves it more when he can stay out for awhile and not lose toes.

This is a typical morning sight. Behind that bedroom door is a sleeping James. After all the kids have gone to school and the house is quiet again, Casey will lay by the bedroom door waiting for his James to wake up and let him in. He just wants to cuddle.

It’s so rare that I can get Mr. Casey to hold still long enough to get a sharp image. Today was my day. I missed his very large Corgi ears but look at that expressive eye! Oh and his cute little nose and big furry chest. He really is an excellent Corgi specimen, as handsome as they come. I really like the dark shadowed sided face, it gives the eye that much more strength. I love this dog. He makes us laugh every day.
